100PLUS ACTIVE ALL MALAYSIA BADMINTON TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP 2017 (“the Tournament”)

ELIGIBILITY OF PARTICIPATING PLAYERS:



1 Malaysian Citizen ONLY.
2 Age MUST be between19-65 or born in the year between 1952 – 1998.
3 Form a team of eight (8) players that consist of either:
  • A maximum of 1 professional playerand 7 non-professional players, OR 8 non-professional players.
4 PROFESSIONAL CATEGORY: Only one [1] professional player is ALLOWED in each Team with the status of being either a:
  • Current National or Ex-national; Current Bukit Jalil Sports School (BJSS) or Ex-BJSS; Current National Back-Up or Ex-National Back-Up , and who have participated in Malaysia Open, International Open, World Junior Championship, Asian Junior Championship, and etc., OR
  • Current State or Ex-state players, and who have participated in state open (e.g. KL Open, Selangor Open, Perak Open, and etc.) or Sukma Games.
5 NON-PROFESSIONAL CATEGORY: The remaining seven (7) players of the Team MUST NOT be of any status stated in Clause [4] above.
Players who fulfilled the following criteria are eligible to participate in the Tournament as non-professional players:
  • Players who have participated in any of the Under-19 international, national or state level tournaments, e.g. National Junior Circuit, AND who are NOT a Current/Ex-professional player stated in Clause [4] above.
  • Players who have participated or currently participating in private or government university tournaments at international, national or state levels, e.g. SUKIPT, World University Games, ASEAN University Games, etc., AND who are NOT a Current/Ex-professional player stated in Clause [4] above.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:


Registrations


(1) The Registration for 100PLUS ACTIVE ALL MALAYSIA Badminton Team Championship 2017 can be made only at WWW.ALLMALAYSIA.MY

(2) All entries must be submitted before the closing dates below:-

Circuit 1 Berapit Badminton Hall, Bukit Mertajam, Penang

Circuit 2 Pioneer Badminton Academy, 1 Shamelin Shopping Mall,KL
> 5th July 2017 , 5:00pm*
Circuit 3 Jebat Racquet Sports Centre, Ayer Keroh, Melaka

(3) Entries are based on first ¬come first¬ serve basis.

(4) Registration of the Tournament is ONLY CONFIRMED upon formal email reply by the organiser.

(5) All unsuccessful registration payment shall be fully refunded within 14 working days from closing date

(6) All information provided by the participants in the registration form must be complete, true and accurate. The organiser will not entertain nor be in any way be held responsible for any dispute arising from incomplete or inaccurate entry details in the registration form.

(7) Submission of the registration form does not guarantee the team participant to participate in the Tournament. The organiser shall be entitled to reject or refuse participation by any person for any reason, including but not limited to incomplete registration form, player ineligibility or any provisions in the rules and regulations that are not fulfilled or not adhered to by team participant.

(8) Each participating player is ONLY allowed to participate in ONE (1) team in the Tournament

(9) Participant is strictly not allowed to transfer or assignhis or her registration to a new participant after confirmation of registration in email reply by Organiser.


Participants



(1) It is the DUTY OF THE TEAM MANAGER to ensure that team members meet the Eligibility of Participation of the Tournament.

(2) Each player can only play ONE (1) match in a tie for his or her registered team and only registered players for the Tournament are allowed to play. A team fielding unregistered/ineligible player will lead to the DISQUALIFICATION of the entire team.

(3) A team can be disqualified at any stage of the Tournament if any player or team failed to adhere to the Rules and Regulations of the Tournament.

(4) A protest can be made against any team before the start of atie. Any protest is ONLY for the Eligibility of Participating Players.

(5) Any protest must be submitted before the Semi Final stage of Circuit 1, 2 and 3 of the Tournament. No protest will be entertained during Grand Finals on 12 and 13 August 2017.

(6) A protest will be handled by a Jury Committee consisting of organising chairman, organising secretary, technical adviser, Tournament referee and a team manager not involved in the case.

(7) A protest must be submitted in writing together with a deposit of RM500+ printed proof. If protest is successful, deposit will be refunded. Deposit will be forfeited for any unsuccessful protest.

(8) A meeting has to be held within 1 hour after a protest is received and decision to be made in the same meeting. No appealon decision made by the Jury Committee will be entertained.

(9) Top 6 Team Finalists' MUST wear the team shirts provided by the organiser at the Grand Finals on 12 and 13 August 2017, if any.

(10) The Organiser and Referee reserve the absolute right to DISQUALIFY any player or team at any point in time during Circuit 1, 2, 3 and Grand Finals of the Tournament.


Tie



(1) Each TIE consists of three (3) doubles: two (2)Men’s Doubles and one (1) Mixed Doubles.

(2) Team Manager is required to register the team members with original National Registration Identification Card (NRIC) at REGISTRATION COUNTER at least one (1) hour before the scheduled tie.

(3) Team Manager is required to collect the Team Composition Form (team line-up form) from the REGISTRATION COUNTER and submit to the REFEREE at least 45 minutes before the scheduled tie.


General



(1) The 100PLUS ACTIVE ALL MALAYSIA Badminton Team Championship 2017(“the Tournament”) shall be conducted in accordance with Badminton World Federation (BWF) laws of Badminton and the General Competition regulations.

(2) By signing up for and providing any information, personal or otherwise, in order to gain access to any product(s) and/or service(s) and/or participate in any programme(s), event(s), talk(s), demonstration(s) or any other activities involving the Organiser and the Event sponsors (“the Sponsors”), the individual (“the Participant”) is deemed to have given explicit permission for the Organiser and the Sponsors to collect, analyse, collate, share, disclose to third parties, sell and/or otherwise use without any liability to the individual, any personal information relating to that individual as may in its sole discretion deem fit, including without any limitation for its programmes, planning, fund-raising and/or any other purposes in furtherance of the functions. The Organiser and the Sponsors declare by virtue of being the Event owner or sponsor, they can use services of third parties;

(2.1) For development or implementation of programmes, products or services as it may deem necessary;
(2.2) For outsourcing of any programme(s), event(s), talk(s), demonstration(s) and/or any activities;
(2.3) For promotional, marketing and/or administrative purposes;
(2.4) For all purposes as required by law, including without limitation court proceedings, criminal investigations or prosecutions or where so ordered by any competent authority;
(2.5) In connection with any proposed novation, assignment, transfer, sale, lease, license, partnership, joint-organizing and/or any collaboration where and when required in relation thereto.

(3) The following Tournament Ranking Point System shall apply for Circuit 1, 2 and 3 of the Tournament :




(4) The Organiser reserves the absolute right to change the Tournament format from round-robin to knock-out or otherwise at any point in time during the Tournament. Final decision of the format will be made during the Briefing Session:

(4. 1) The following Rules & Regulations shall apply when there are more than 64 entries:

(4.1.1) The Circuit Preliminary Rounds of the Tournament (Circuit 1, 2, & 3) shall be a knockout format (seeding based on the latest League Ranking Point System cut-off as at the end of each Circuit) using the 30 rally points system with best of 1 single-game except Circuit 1, Bukit Mertajam, Penang.

  • Only the Top 6 Teams based on the League Ranking Point System cut-off as off the end of Circuit 3, are eligible to play in the Grand Finals Day-1 in Quill City Mall KL.

(4.1.2) Grand Finals in Quill City Mall KL (Day-1), which held on Sat, 12 August 2017,
shall be a round-robin format(seeding based on the latest League Ranking Point System cut-off as at the end of Circuit 3) using the 30 points system with the best of 1-single game.

  • 2 groups, consists of 3 teams for each group
  • Only the Top Team for each group of the Grand Finals Day-1, are eligible to play in the Grand Finals Day-2.

(4.1.3) Grand Finals in Quill City Mall KL (Day-2), which held on Sun, 13 August 2017,
shall be a knock-out format , using the 21 points system with the best of 3-games.

(4. 2) The below Rules & Regulations shall apply when there are 64 entries and below:

(4.2.1)The Circuit Preliminary Rounds (Circuit 1, 2, & 3) of the Tournament , shall be a knockout format(seeding based on the latest League Ranking Point System cut-off as at the end of each Circuit) using the 21 rally points system with best of 3-games.

  • Only the Top 6 Teams based on the League Ranking Point System cut-off as off the end of Circuit 3, are eligible to play in the Grand-Finals in Quill City Mall KL.

(4.2.2) Grand Finals in Quill City Mall KL (Day-1), which held on Sat 12August 2017,
shall be a round-robin format(seeding based on the latest League Ranking Point System cut-off as at the end of Circuit 3) using the 30 points system with the best of 1-single game.

  • 2 groups, consists of 3 teams for each group
  • Only the Top Team for each group of the Grand Finals Day-1, are eligible to play in the Grand Finals Day-2.

(4.2.3) Grand Finals in Quill City Mall KL (Day-2), which held on Sun 13 August 2017,
shall be a knock-out format, using the 21 points system with the best of 3-games.

(5) The Organiser will provide referee & umpire for the Tournament. Each team is required to provide two (2) Lines Judges for each match. Lines Judges will only be provided by the Organiser for Semi-final and Final stage of Circuit 1,2,3 and at the Grand Finals of the Tournament.

(6) The Organiser/Referee/Umpire has the absolute right to require player or participant to present his or her original National Registration Identification Card (NRIC) upon request.

(7) Participant is required to bring his or her own badminton equipment for the Tournament. The organiser shall not be held responsible to supply badminton equipment at the Tournament. Only shuttlecocks will be provided by the Organiser at the Tournament.

(8) While reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organiser to ensure participant’s safety, the Organiser will not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death howsoever arising from training for, before, during or after participation in the Tournament.

(9) The Organiser reserves the absolute rights to use any photographs (including those of participants), motion picture recordings, or any media records of the Tournament, for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising and distribution to sponsors anywhere in the world.

(10) The Organiser reserves the absolute rights to change, cancel or postpone the Tournament at any time without prior notice to the participants, in which case the organiser will make best effort to inform the participants of any changes, cancellation or postponement prior to the date of Circuit 1, 2, 3 and Grand Finals

(11) All Tournament andTechnical decisions made by the Organiser and Referee are FINAL. No protest nor appeal will be entertained.
